MTA preferences for use with MailScanner

I only use ZMailer and wouln't recommend that to anyone not willing to
spend a LOT of time learning.
I don't like Sendmail very much, it's a memory hog if you get lots of
simultaneous connections (but it's really fast when you don't).
I heard, from knowledgable people, that both Postfix and Exim are
nice, easy to configure and have good documentation and mailing list
support... the only thing that I disliked was when Julian said that
the queue format of Postfix is binary and not plain ASCII... this
scares me a lot since, in a crisis, you aren't able to use your
average set of text tools to resolve it...
Having no other background or preference, I'd go for Exim (but take
into account that _I_ have never used it)
Just my 1/2 penny :-)
(this advice DOESN'T account for as much as 2p).
