You actually should be able to use up2date as well - using the yum
backend(!).

This was an issue raised by some people, since lots of them had scripts
etc that were hard wired to use the up2date command. So the interface
will still work ( even if its using yum in the background )

You can also use the OpenCarpet / Ximian RedCarpet way of doing things,
if you want something easier / GUI based.
