MailScanner stopped working on Solaris 8 machines

Did you install a Sun sendmail patch? If so, it will have over-written your
rc2.d/S88sendmail file among others. Once you have tweaked the sendmail
init.d scripts you need to look out for sendmail patches. Sun uses hard
links between the rc*.d and init.d directories, so you may find your init.d
script isn't being run how you think it is.
Just a guess, but it's caught me out before now.
