Did you restart snmpd?  

I think that you are not getting snmp data, but you have snmp turned on
in the config file (but I could be wrong, its getting late!)

Please confirm that
a) snmpd is running
b) you have snmp turned on in the config file, and set to 'net'
c) your community string is correct in the conf file
d) root gets sensible output running snmpwalk command
