Serious problems running Mailscanner

Oops, just sent an email to the list regarding what you wrote about this
problem.

I don't really see how it can be an exim issue but I guess you never
know. Changing MTA isn't really an option at this stage. It sounds like
reinstalling MailScanner might be on the cards.

One thing I have noticed is that there is a bunch of crap hanging out in
the various spool directories. I have no idea why this could be causing
an issue but I plan to bring exim down at the end of the day and do some
serious spring cleaning.

IMO, MailScanner does not have enough debugging built in.
