just installed MailScanner 4.36 on Fedora core 2

I didn't have to comment out that line, just remove the relevant parts
as below
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp, Name=MTA')dnl

and don't forget to run --

make -C /etc/mail
to remake your sendmail.cf file
