NO.. definitely DO NOT do that.
SA will handle it, but it would be quite reasonable for it to crash in that
case. The two files are supposed to be different, and
spam.assassin.prefs.conf is intended to over-ride settings in local.cf, not
duplicate them. There are also some administrative config options which are
legal in local.cf and not allowed in spam.assassin.prefs.conf, so the files
are handled differently. There is certainly an implicit expectation that
they are not the same file.
If nothing else, by linking them, you're forcing SA to parse the same
settings twice, which is silly. Either put settings in your local.cf, or in
your spam.assassin.prefs.conf, but do not link the files. There's no point
to doing that other than wasting the parser's time.
