I suggest you use clamav as well to make sure you never get swamped with
viruses... but I can't help you with sofos.

To benefit from the new features, for example block passwd-protected
archives, get the -v option explained below... stay tuned on this list
or look at the change log and you'll see.

In the logs, when it starts, and in the new versions, you can do a

# MailScanner -v and it will give you MailScanner's and perl modules
versions.
