cannot install MailScanner due to 2 instances of Perl

Thank a lot for the suggestions but I tired that already. When I tried that
it gave me some error about having an issue with MakeMaker and that I needed
to update that before the install would continue.

When I ran Julians script to update MakeMaker - it ran through perfectly -
but still could not run the install script for MailScanner. I think the
MakeMaker script was updating the 5.8.3 version of Perl and the MailScanner
script is trying to use the 5.8.0 version of perl.

How can I get this to work?

I'm not the perl expert but you might try the install using

        install.sh -ignore-perl

I've had to install MailScanner on a few "hosted" servers where I had little
control over perl or other applications and Julian's' install flag has
always worked.
