Every hour it will write"update.virus.scanners: Delaying cron job up to
600 seconds" where 600 is the default delay, and then within the next
ten minutes it will output something like this

Apr  7 07:06:02 lenore update.virus.scanners: Found clamav installed
Apr  7 07:06:02 lenore update.virus.scanners: Running autoupdate for clamav
Apr  7 07:06:03 lenore update.virus.scanners: Found f-prot installed
Apr  7 07:06:03 lenore update.virus.scanners: Running autoupdate for f-prot

And if it updates there will also be

Apr  7 04:02:01 lenore ClamAV-autoupdate[26886]: ClamAV updated
