RH8/Perl 5.8.0 security upgrade crashes MailScanner 4.23-11

I did a couple of RH9 installs. Installed fresh, ran all the updates, setup
sendmail, and installed MailScanner. Runs very well.

Maybe it would be easier to update RedHat?
