Sendmail configuration and MailScanner

This is true. I foresee a huge /etc/mail/access file if he is running a
catchall!

In /etc/mail/virtusertable:

@domain.com             real_user at domain.com

Then in /etc/mail/access:

alskdf at domain.com               DISCARD
alskdfa at domain.com      DISCARD
alksdfa at domain.com      DISCARD

The combinations could grow and grow as spammers suck more and more :)

It should, yes, but not everyone has their sendmail set up like this. Some
people accept mail to any address at their domain, and then either deliver
non-existent addresses into some 'catchall' account, or else throw it away
at the delivery stage, even though it got accepted in the first place.

I may of course be wrong :)

I vote "no" to this proposal to form a committee to investigate whether we
should or should not hold a ballot on whether to vote yet.
