Sophos, Mailscanner on FreeBSD sophos-autoupdate

Either you're looking in the wrong place or you screwed up installing
MailScanner.  Both files are usually in /usr/sbin (although from the
info you give I'd also look in /usr/local/sbin).  You need to use
Sophos.Install because it puts libs etc in non default location,
autoupdate (and scan from within MailScanner) is unlikely to work if you
don't install that way.

The format of virus.scanners.conf is...

scanner-name<TAB>/path/to/wrapper-script<TAB>/scanner/package/directory

Your line should probably be (from the info you've given)...

sophos  /usr/local/libexec/MailScanner/sophos-wrapper   /usr/local/sophos
