hundreds upon hundreds of emails in /var/spool/mqueue.in

mailq -v
/var/spool/mqueue is empty

To get email to clients is it wise to copy * from mqueue.in into
/var/spool/mqueue until I get this problem resolved?

Thanks

Matthew
