I'd like to say I'm glad you asked me that - but I'm not. :(

The more I look at it the more I'm convinced its nonsense. Apart from
anything else it uses sar - so its a snapshot of 5 seconds or data every
5 minutes. Which explains the wide fluctuations in the graph.
Sorting out all the sar based graphs (cpu, memory and network) is the
very next thing I'm going to look at. Unfortunately it's looking like
SNMP might be the way to go, unless anyone can suggest another
(portable) way of getting this kind of info.
