OT: Problems installing fedora

Paul,

I am running Fedora (upgraded RH9).  Here is what I have on my system:
$ rpm -q perl
perl-5.8.1-92
$ rpm -q perl-CGI
perl-CGI-2.81-88.3
$ rpm -qf /usr/share/man/man3/CGI.3pm.gz
perl-CGI-2.81-88.3
perl-5.8.1-92
$ rpm -qf /usr/share/man/man3/CPAN.3pm.gz
perl-CPAN-1.61-88.3
perl-5.8.1-92

So I have the same versions as you...  and it says that both files are
in both RPMs...

Can't you rpm --replacefiles?
