Bypass MailScanner for certain email address?

Is there a way to tell MailScanner not to scan outbound email for a certain address? I've got a client who needs to send a newsletter to thousands of clients. This time luckily it's a text message. Last time it was an html message and when I looked at the graphs of my cpu usage, it was at about 90% during the mailing. It usually hovers around 15%.
