newby fetchmail question

I can answer the first part.  Yes e-mails pulled via fetchmail go 
through MailScanner.

I have a remote e-mail address and use fetchmail to pull the e-mails.  I 
just tested it and the e-mails were processed by both MailScanner, 
Spamassassin and also by my virus scanner.
