It looks like maybe you have an init script left over from 3.x - (if I remember 3.x's init script was mailscanner, whereas 4.x is MailScanner).  See if you have a MailScanner in /etc/init.d - if so try

chkconfig mailscanner off
chkconfig --level 2345 MailScanner on
