I set MailScanner to one child and to use SA 2.50.  The CPU load ran right
up to 100% the same as with 5 children.

The output of "cd /root/.spamassassin && fuser *" was
bayes_seen.db:        1250  1253
bayes_toks.db:        1250  1253

ps -fp 1253 gave

UID        PID  PPID  C STIME TTY          TIME CMD
root      1253  1244  2 16:16 ?        00:00:01 /usr/bin/perl -I/usr/lib/MailSca
