config issue?

Regarding two versions of Perl being installed, you are correct. I noticed
one in /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.0 and another here /usr/bin/perl5/5.6.0.

Since 5.8.0 is the newer version shouldn't I keep it instead of 5.6.0?
"Delete the copy of perl in /usr/local" - do you mean rm -rf /usr/bin/perl5
or is there more to it than just deleting the directory? Thanks!

Agreed. You have 2 copies of Perl installed. This will cause you all sorts
of random grief. Delete the copy of perl in /usr/local, then re-install
MailScanner and SpamAssassin. Otherwise you will end up with some bits of
perl in 1 installation and some in the other.
