As far as a update for command software, I have a hacked togeather shell
script that I use to update the def files. Maybe this could be used as a
starting point. Command does not have any auto-update feature build in, so
I am relying on them not changing the directory structure on there FTP site
to be able to get the latest def files. With each new release of def
files, they place them on the FTP site labled deflinux.rpm. I have also
fond out that Command Software's FTP Site is very unreliable. In order to
make it work worth a crap, I had to use "wget -T 10". Now my script is
quite reliable.

There does not seem to be a easy solution for the engine update though, the
rpm has a new name each time there is a new release.
