I just checked and the most recent stable version is 0.60 dated June 20.
However, there are a series of snapshot releases.  Depending on your use
of the product you may not even want to consider using these?  Checking
the changelog shows that they're the result of active development
particularly in the mbox area.

The commercial scanners are likely going through the same process but you
don't have the opportunity to see the snapshots!
