Hide Quarantine Work Dir = maybe ?

That did the trick, just don't show $quarantinedir anymore :)
If I'd bothered to read the report myself I'd have copped it, oops

so Hide Incoming Work Dir = yes    !=    Hide Quarantine Dir = yes
