Andrew, I am using MailScanner on an Ensim machine too. I was wondering
why the scanner appeared to be not working anymore after a while until I
realised that changing aliases, adding domains through the panel caused a
"sendmail restart" which basically turned back the "normal" sendmail on,
w/o MailScanner. In the end, I put all the maintenance things (newaliases,
virtdomains and stuff) into /etc/init.d/MailScanner and symlinked
/etc/init.d/sendmail_app_init to /etc/init.d/MailScanner.
But so far, i didn't have the bandwidth issue in mind, so after reading
your mail, I simply copied the LD_PRELOAD stuff using the ensim.so as
well.
Seems to work as far as I can see now.
