Are you running a RPM version of sendmail-tls? If so it should have
"Provides: sendmail" in the RPM. If you're not running a RPM version of
sendmail-tls, asaik nothing Julian does in the RPM will prevent this
dependency problem...
You do know that the current sendmail provides direct support for the
STARTTLS command now so that sendmail-tls is unnecessary right?
BTW Julian, you can't "Requires:" "A" or "B" in a RPM, but both "A"
and "B" should "Provides:" something, then you "Requires:" that
"Provides:" instead of the actual package... For example both php-mysql
and php-pgsql have "Provides: php_database" in the RPM, so if you had a
php program that needed either database you would have "Requires:
php_database" in your RPM.
Oh, and on Red Hat different MTA's "Provides: smtp_daemon", so if you
have a RPM that works with post sendmail and postfix you might require
that instead of sendmail. Not sure about that on SuSE...
