Server Specifications?

We run Mailscanner + McAfee + Spamassassin on two machines for redundancy,
each machine is a 2.2 Ghz P4 with 1GB of DDR RAM and a 3Ware Escalade 7000-2
ATA/133 RAID card and 2 40 GB drives in a mirror. Each machine processes
about 50,000 messages per day and they rarely break a sweat. I was watching
them once when a particularly heavy SPAM influx happened, roughly 2000
messages over the course of 5 or 10 minutes and the boxes handled it fine.
Either box is sufficient to handle the entire mail flow (roughly 100,000
messages per day), which was the point so we could take one down for
upgrades without affecting mail.
