Use ncftp as the client program. It understands how to do recursive
get/put. And as a bonus you also get command line editing and bookmarks.
Even if it isn't currently installed I'm pretty sure that you can
install from your distro media.

The instructions said to use Windows 98 or better, so I installed RedHat
