You should probably refer this question to the SA-Talk list :
Spamassassin-talk mailing list
Spamassassin-talk at lists.sourceforge.net
<https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk>
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/spamassassin-talk
The user_prefs located in the /root directory will apply only to root.
local.cf applies site wide to all your users.
You can configure spamassassin to allow all spam through for certain
accounts. Check the documentation or inquire at the SA-Talk list.
take care,
d.

Subject: Questions Re: Spamassassin and Mailscanner
Mailscanner seems to help with spam quite a bit, but with spamassassin
it works great. Im running 2.1 of spamassassin and latest mailscanner,
my question to you is, Which config file do we use for spamassassin? i
see one in /root/.spamassassin/user_prefs and also in
/etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf
I have a bunch of custom settings in local.cf, but i include my
threshhold in both local.cf and user_prefs because im not sure which
file is read. I guess what im looking for is a little more information
on how spamassassin is actually called from mailscanner. Any help would
be great, cause i still have the occaisional idiot saying ALL his mail
is marked as spam. Then he tries telling me that nextel, and this other
crap ISNT spam
lol
wish there was a way to just make the scanner NOT do anything for mail
for certain people :P i could care less if he got a virus.
Kelly
