Strange Problem..

Ive noticed that some times my sendmail -q1m process dies and becomes
[sendmail]  <-- i beleive this is a dead process.. Anywayz, when this
happens, my incoming mail queue directory gets very large, yesterday i found
it with almost 6000 messages in the incoming queue.

        Queue Statistics

--Incoming Mail Queue: 661
--Outgoing Mail Queue: 194
***********************************

      Sendmail Statistics
***********************************
--Incoming Sendmail Processes: 8
--Outgoing Sendmail Processes: 7
***********************************

Those are current stats as of sending this mail.. any ideas or help would be
great
