not processing replies

MailScanner seems to be working just as described, which is wonderful.  I am having a problem, though, with sendmail not wanting to process any replies sent from either the users or from MailScanner.  They all just sit in the /var/spool/mqueue directory.  Incoming e-mail drops into the mqueue.in dir and is processed as it should be.

Has anyone had anything like this occur?  Or any suggestions?
