Success with MailScanner

Hi all,

I'm just popping up here really to say that I've sucessfully implemented
Mailscanner here for all our campus mail.  Been at it on and off for the
past couple of weeks, with some hints from the ever-helpful Julian, but
yesterday he gave me the final clue that sorted out my problems and all
seems hunky dory now, with howevermanythousandsperday messages passing
through the mailscanner box.

Just to be awkward, not only am I using Exim rather than sendmail, I'm
also running with McAfee rather than Sophos, and this has let me feed a
few suggestions and comments and corrections back to Julian about running
it in this environment!

It's early days yet, but MailScanner so far is proving very successful
here, snagging lots of stuff, and generally raising awareness.  Carefully
worded error messages have minimised calls to our helpdesk, although I
really need to write some web pages in support of the service too (but
after my holidays thanks ...).

All in all, it's impressively successful for me so far, so thanks to
Julian and the other contributors!  I'll look forward to any future
enhancements.
