MailScanner is the last task on the list, but google <br>revealed that Ubuntu + sendmail/mailscanner is not a very popular <br>option? Are there installation instructions anywhere ? I am finding bits <br>and pieces online but nothing complete.<br><br>Google didn't reveal much about sendmail on Ubuntu either.<br><br>I installed Ubuntu 20.04, from the .deb file and installed MailScanner <br>without major errors (CPAN doesn't like it by the way if the <br>box is not connected directly to the internet but via a proxy.<br><br>I created second incoming directory :<br>mkdir /var/spool/mqueue.in ; chown smmta:smmsp /var/spool/mqueue.in ;<br>chmod 2750 /var/spool/mqueue.in<br><br>I set Incoming "Queue Dir = /var/spool/mqueue.in" in MailScanner.conf<br><br>MailScanner website mentions modification of startup script (which I <br>think is stale?), a google search revealed this is what needs to be <br>changed :<br>sed -i 's/DAEMON_PARMS=""/DAEMON_PARMS="-bd -OPrivacyOptions=noetrn <br>-ODeliveryMode=queueonly -OQueueDirectory=\/var\/spool\/mqueue.in"/g' <br>/etc/mail/sendmail.conf<br><br>I ran sendmailconfig, will modify sendmail.mc with all FEATUREs from <br>CentOS sendmail.mc.<br><br>Anything else I overlooked?<br><br>The server will not deliver mail locally but relay everything to <br>Exchange, can I enable define(`confSAFE_FILE_ENV', `')dnl or will that <br>break MailScanner?<br><br>Is DCC still used ?
