look into milter-ahead, or smf-sav (also a milter). I recently added
smf-sav and the volume of email that actually gets past my gateway is 1/3 to 1/2
what it was. smf-sav does both recipient and sender verification, so
there were a few mail hosts that I had to white list when the sender
verification failed. Quite easy though and watching spammers being
rejected at the front door touches the cockles of my
