MailScanner 5.4.5 on Almalinux 8.9

After upgrading a Centos 7.9 installation to the above versions, Mailscanner does not start - I get this message :

/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/lib64/perl5/auto/IO/IO.so: undefined symbol: Perl_xs_version_bootcheck

Do any of you kind folks have any idea of how I can address this ?
