Operating System Version: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)

Sendmail Version: 8.15.2

MailScanner Version: 5.4.5

ClamAV Version: 0.103.6

SpamAssassin Version: 3.4.6


In the Mail log it shows MCP Checks: Starting but all tests emails do not get scanned at all.. below are the settings I have set..

MCP Checks = yes
First Check = MCP
MCP Actions = store
MCP Required SpamAssassin Score = 4
MCP High SpamAssassin Score = 10
High Scoring MCP Actions = store
Always Include MCP Report = yes
Detailed MCP Report = yes
Include Scores In MCP Report = yes
Log MCP = yes
MCP Max SpamAssassin Size = 400k
MCP SpamAssassin Prefs File = /etc/MailScanner/mcp/mcp.spamassassin.conf
MCP SpamAssassin Local Rules Dir = /etc/MailScanner/mcp
MCP SpamAssassin Default Rules Dir = /etc/MailScanner/mcp
MCP SpamAssassin Install Prefix = /etc/MailScanner/mcp

Update:

So the v320.pre file is needed in /etc/Mailscanner/mcp folder.. which it was not in my version.  Once I placed that file MCP stated scanning..

Subject: Geek Squad phishing images etc - FuzzyOcr or ???

What are you all finding works best at combatting these stupid Geek Squad
phishing emails that are usually 3 words of text and an image?

 

Is FuzzyOCR plugin for SA currently a viable option or is there a better
way?
