maillog stops logging?

Rsyslog is from remote syslog which if your server is standalone you shouldn't need for mail logging.

If you were having issues with remote syslog then have a look at /etc/rsyslog.conf

systemctl restart rsyslog.service

That worked. It gave me:

Redirecting to /bin/systemctl restart  rsyslog.service

Unfortunately, maillog still isn't logging.
