True, but if you run freshclam as a daemon instead, it defaults to 12
daily checks.

The Debian/Ubuntu clamav-freshclam package runs freshclam as a daemon
with 24 daily checks, so for Debian/Ubuntu at least,
update_virus_scanners is redundant. I have Disabled=yes in
/etc/cron.hourly/update_virus_scanners.
