Linux file command identifies text-file as DOS executable (COM)

Try
in MailScanner.conf
File Command = /usr/local/bin/file-wrapper

and make /usr/local/bin/file-wrapper as this

#!/bin/bash
#
/usr/bin/file --mime-type "$1"
#end of /usr/local/bin/file-wrapper
