Large rule files

Hello,

we've some rule files (whitelist, blacklist, checks...) and some days 
ago, I added new rules so some of those files have more than 25000 lines 
now.

We have seen an important performance impact in MailScanner...Is there 
any "magic" solution to this?
I've been reading about Ruleset-from-Function.pm, is anyone using it?
