Not Allowing Multiple HTML Signatures

Dear Markus, thanks very much for the help. It worked like a charm. Your
patch and the command. I would like to bother you and other experts with
some more questions if I may.

1. Will the effect be felt if I use plain text messaging?
2. What ever I put in the "alt" tag it gets appears in the signature part.
Is there a way to avoid this?
