taint errors again -U not working anymore

I ran "yum up" this morning and had a boat load of patches waiting to install.  (I declined.)
Output from "MailScanner -V"

This is CentOS release 5.6 (Final)
This is Perl version 5.008008 (5.8.8)

If I let it do the upgrades, am I going to run into this issue?  It wasn't clear from the yum output if I'd end up on perl 5.10.
