OT: Centos 6 question

iptables sets rules in the built-in firewall. It doesn't "run as a
process", it just "fiddles around the IP stack looking for klingons".
If you *do* see a process called iptables "running", you should look
into it as it's supposed to run, do its thing, and exit right away.
