Slightly OT: Migrating from sendmail to postfix

Hey,

we plan to migrate from sendmail to postfix and I wanted to ask if you -
the mailserver gurus *<:-) - have any suggestions regarding security,
performance, resource settings.

Currently we run a small setup for about 1.000 users in one maildomain
(... at filmakademie.de) and some RTBLs are configured in sendmail.

Mailscanner is up an running for some years. Is there any migrating how
to to? AFAIK there are not so much options to be set!?
