It should be cleaning itself. MailScanner only uses it during a batch scan,
then dumps it. On my system it creates a directory for each running child
using its PID number, and that directory stays around until the child dies and
is cleaned up after.
If you have a lot of children with a large batch size, it could peak regularly.
If you have files in there older than 24 hours other than the locks directory,
you likely have a problem.
