Rob,

I also run with Rebuild Bayes Every = 0 and I have the following entry
in root's crontab:
15 3 * * * (/sbin/service MailScanner stop; /usr/bin/sa-learn
--force-expire; sleep 60; /sbin/service MailScanner start)

I get an email like this one every night:
> Shutting down MailScanner daemons:
> MailScanner: [ OK ]
> incoming sendmail: [ OK ]

I know my server isn't accepting emails during that time but I can live
with it.
