Problems with certain mails being handled by mailscanner - mails just disappear

What MTA, version of MailScanner? If you try running MailScanner in 
debug mode (stop MailScanner, start a single process by running 
MailScanner --debug) you may see more verbose errors.
Anything strange in the log?
