At NDSU we use Red Hat's package if it exists. If not, we have built a separate RPM. The whole of MailScanner's Perl requirements fall into either category. We have not had a problem with this approach for 3 years. I haven't seen this proposed on the list, so I'm chiming in. This has worked with RHEL 4 and 5.
