I use ovid (http://search.cpan.org/~gyepi/Ovid-0.12/) as it will build 
RPMs of the dependencies.  I'm intending to try cpanspec 
(http://cpanspec.sourceforge.net/) as (according to the author) it 
checks a repository to see if the RPM already exists before building it.
