When was the TREND software patent granted in the States? Surely if MailScanner was available to American citizens before that date then it should be classed as prior art overe there too?

MessageLabs certainly always used to run McAfee.
So far, software patents still don't exist in the EU at all, so I'm not
remotely worried :-)
